Nadia is a very jolly and attentive baby. She was in good spirits throughout the entire 1+ hour of photographing even though I know she was exhausted.

Alyson's Mission Photos

Alyson helped to make this photo shoot enjoyable because she has a fun
and easygoing personality and is also very photogenic.

We were able to utilize her creative ideas into the photos. I especially liked the photo
where Alyson is in the background and the Hymn book opened to "Called to Serve"
in the foreground.

On a more technical side...
I was a little nervous about photographing in the snow because there is
usually a lot of harsh shadows and reflection.
Fortunately, though with the help of my new B+W Filter and a nice fog
created by the lovely inversion, the lighting in the photos was diffused and quite beautiful.

  

Baby Olivia

This photo shoot was my first official opportunity
to try out my new Canon 6D camera and Canon 24-70 F2.8 L lens.
The photos are really sharp and the color is excellent.

With the Canon 7D, I was always frustrated because the images had too much noise and
the colors always seemed to be slightly inaccurate.

I am really happy with these images and I hope Olivia's parents enjoy
these photos of their beautiful daughter.

                           

Cedars of Lebanon

I had the opportunity to take photos for the Cedars of Lebanon restaurant located in downtown Salt Lake City. The menu includes both Lebanese and Armenian food. It is authentic, flavorful and overall delicious. My husband was a great support to me, setting up lighting equipment, carrying the gear and allowing me to boss him around as much as needed. The highlight of the evening was photographing the Kasbah room and the hookah. I hope to do many more food photography in the future.

It has been a while since I have updated
my photography blog since Jude
was born. About a month ago I had
the opportunity to take family photos for my
good friend Katie. I was a little hesitant
because you can never predict how kids will
react, but Owen, Sam and Ada were so well-behaved.
The landscape around the Salt Lake Library was a great
setting for photos and the Library's children section
was a fun escape from the cold.
